Bakirkoy is an excellent choice of location if you want to be close to Ataturk Airport. The area is mainly residential with a pretty harbour and well maintained park areas along he sea front. It’s a popular day out for families to stroll along the sea front on a Sunday. There are also some good waterfront restaurants and cafes including Gelik Restaurant which is famous for its meat dishes. Bakirkoy is an excellent place to shop with its large, modern malls. It is close to Yesilkoy – an up-market town with wooden mansions, churches, parks and beach.
