About Fethiye

54 Km from Dalaman, this area boasts some of the regions best beaches. Its stunning coastline means it is the centre and starting point for a number of yachting cruises and water born holidays. The town of Fethiye centres around an historic harbour where you can while away the hours in the boutique restaurants and shops that line the harbour. A bustling market town, the area is a shoppers’ paradise and at the Tuesday market you can buy anything from designer jeans to fresh tomatoes. During the summer months there is a direct ferry service between Fethiye and Rhodes in Greece.

Outside of the town of Fethiye are a number of popular resorts – all reachable in a matter of minutes on the Dolmus. :  Hisaronu – a lively and colourful resort- style nightspot packed with restaurants, bars, nightclubs and shops; Calis – Fethiye’s beach – a beautiful stretch of coastline famous for its sunsets: Oludeniz – the famous lagoon beach with its white sand and crystal clear waters: Kayakoy – a ghost village, once inhabited by Greeks where you can see the old abandoned houses and the ancient church.

This region is in the heart of ancient Lycia and has many historic sites among which Kaunos, Tlos, Pinara, and Letoon are particularly noteworthy. It is a region of dramatic mountains, stunning beaches, cosmopolitan ports and rustic villages. You are also perfectly placed to visit Saklikent, Gocek, Patara and Xanthos.
